Greetings from RID 3181,
I wish you a very successful Rotary year.
I am sending this mail seeking your cooperation in a Multi District International project called the “ RIDE FOR ROTARY “.
“Ride for Rotary” a TRF fund raising project which is a motorcycle ride event across 4 Rotary Districts in India in which the participants will experience Indian heritage , culture and hospitality along with exchange of Rotary views and fellowship.
This event started last year in our District 3181 and was very successful. 14 International riders from 8 countries namely RTN Robert Kemp from USA , RTN Duncan Moffatt , Ann Maureen Moffatt and RTN Paul Spaven from UK , RTN Jose Cardoso and Annet Catarina Cardoso from Portugal ,RTN Jeff Cornfoot and RTN Ashwin Shetty from Australia , PDG RTN Larry Serwin from Sweden ,RTN John Ascroft and RTN Stuart Mclean from New Zealand , RTN Alexander Cooke from England and two participants from India participated in an expedition covering 2100 km across 4 RI Districts. The feedback from those participants has encouraged us to organize the event “Ride for Rotary” this year as well.
This year it will be a 11 days motorcycle event which will be nothing less than spectacular. It will cover 4 Rotary Districts, many Rotary Clubs along with temples, church, Tiger forests, Beaches and via some breath taking beautiful roads in the lap of nature. We want all motorcycle enthusiasts in Rotary to take part in this event. This year not only motorcycle riding Rotarians but also we are welcoming non motorcyclists also as it will give non motorcycling Rotarians to experience Indian heritage, culture, hospitality and fellowship. They will be accommodated in a/c car or bus. We seek your valuable cooperation for the event “ Ride for Rotary” .
We request you to convey this event information to your Clubs & IFMR Chapter so that there will be many participants to this event, which is to strengthen Rotary Foundation.
The route and dates for this year “Ride for Rotary” has been finalized. The Ride will start in the month of January 19th 2018 from Mysore and conclude in our District conference on 28th of January 2018 at Coorg.
